We are a student organization dedicated to providing a central resource for unmanned aerial vehicle development and flight at Hercules High School UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). We empower students to ask insightful questions, explore disciplinary boundaries and confront conventional ways of thinking in the field of aeronautics/aviation.

At Hercules High School UAVs, we provide leadership, organization, competition, communication, protection, representation, recognition, education, and scientific/technical development to all members, while keeping learning fun and dynamic.

DIABLO VALLEY RADIO CONTROLLERS

Northern California's premier R/C flying club in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their flying site is located in the city of Pittsburg, CA. We learned the mechanics of fixed-wing planes and watched them fly replicas from the 70s all the way to the late 90s.

They are here to help you to build your own aircraft like a UAV or multi-rotor. They can help you to install the latest hardware and firmware into your aircraft.
They always start with the basics first and go from there but have fun doing it. Only practice makes you fly like a pro.

Werner Von Stein and Reiner Von Weber of SF Drone School showcased what UAVs/Drones made out of wooden dowels and PVC pipes can do. Hercules Robotics showed up to support the event as well.
NASA ANGLES CHALLENGE
Summer 2019
The Apollo Next Giant Leap Student (ANGLeS) Challenge is a national challenge celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission by giving students the chance to recreate the landing using drones and robots, focusing on making it accessible for underrepresented and underserved communities.

UPCOMING EVENTS
NASA ROADS ON MARS STUDENT CHALLENGE
Spring 2020
The ROADS on Mars challenge gives teams of students grades 3–12 a chance to tackle a mission to Mars, following in the path of the next rover — Mars 2020. Just like the next rover, teams will face challenges including engineering and programming, analysis of biological signatures and geologic features, not to mention flying to Mars and successfully landing.
Top teams from across the country will win a trip to Kennedy Space Center for the launch of Mars 2020!
